Course Content

We offer a comprehensive suite of Aircraft Type Training courses focusing on Airbus and BoeingAircraft Types covering both theoretical and practical elements. Our training solutions are highly customizable, ranging from full B1/B2 type training as well as Limitations Removal, Engine Differences and much more. All courses comply with EASA PART-147/ DGCA regulations and together with our partners (FlightPath International), can issue dual authority certifications to match your specific requirements. Training can be conducted both at our in-house training facility or at a location of your choice.

AIRBUS A318/A319/A320/A321 (CFM56) (Aircraft Type Training)

Course Details

Airbus A319/A320/A321 (CFM56) B1/B2 Combined Theoretical Type Course
Electrical, Avionic, Airframe & Powerplant Systems – ATA Spec 104, Level 3

Duration:25 Days

Target Group:Part-66 Category B1, B2 and B1/B2 Engineers or other Maintenance staff

Language: English.  Student must have the ability to read, write and communicate at a functional level in the English language.

Course Location: Hindustan Institute of Engineering Technology in Chennai, India or at customer site.

Description: This EASA approved course is compliant with EASA Commission Regulation (EC) No 1321/2014.  This course provides theoretical ATA Spec 104, Level 3 knowledge for all systems. The course includes system description and operation, any unique maintenance practices, test procedures and noteworthy adjustments along with component location required by Part-66 certifying staff.

General: Examinations are closed book multiple choice format with a passing grade of 75% and will be conducted throughout the course.  Students will receive an EASA Part-147 Theoretical Certificate of Recognition upon successful completion of the course.

Electrical, Avionic, Airframe & Powerplant Systems – ATA Spec 104, Level 3
Duration: 10 Days

Target Group: Part-66 Category B1, B2 and B1/B2 Engineers or other Maintenance staff

Course Location: HIET Practical Training locations or customer site.

Prerequisite: Maintenance staff must have completed the theoretical training of the aircraft type.

Description:This EASA approved course is compliant with EASA Commission (EC) No 1321/2014.  This course provides practical experiences and competencies to troubleshoot and perform maintenance tasks.  Engineers will work with various aircraft manuals and other documentation to ensure the safe performance of maintenance, inspections and routine work.  The Engineer will obtain the knowledge and skills required to perform the tasks correctly using special tools and/or equipment as required and will be knowledgeable in the correct use of technical literature and documentation.

General: Practical assessment must be completed successfully as well as successful completion of the Practical Checklist as per requirements.   Students will receive an EASA Part-147 Practical Certificate of Recognition upon successful completion of the course.

Mandatory Recurrent Training

About this Course

These training courses are a mandatory requisite for all personnel working in aircraft maintenance organisations. Our courses comply with the latest DGCA/EASA regulations and are continuously updated to ensure continued compliance. We offer these training programs in-house at our approved training facility, on-site at Customers’ location as well as via our e-learning platform. Courses include both theory and practical training elements (if required) performed at our approved training workshops.

Cat C Familiarization

Cat C Familiarization – Airbus A320 & Boeing 737NG

Course Outline

This course is in compliance with EASA Part-66, Appendix III “Type Training and Examination Standard.” The participant will acquire aircraft type-related knowledge necessary to issue a certificate of release to service (CRS) following base maintenance for the type of aircraft stated in the course title. It provides a brief overview of the airframe, systems and powerplant as outlined in the systems description section of the aircraft maintenance manual.

Target Group

Graduate from an Aero Engineering Program or graduate from an engineering program seeking employment in an engineering program office of an Aircraft Maintenance Organization (AMO).Technical personnel associated with aircraft maintenance or engineering activities, support staff in the maintenance environment

Prerequisites

Basic technical English and basic technical aircraft knowledge.

Objectives

Upon completion of Level 1 training, the student will be able to:

(a) provide a simple description of the whole subject, using common words and examples, using typical terms and identify safety precautions related to the airframe, its systems and powerplant;

(b) identify aircraft manuals, maintenance practices important to the airframe, its systems and powerplant;

(c) define the general layout of the aircraft’s major systems;

(d) define the general layout and characteristics of the powerplant;

(e) Identify special tooling and test equipment used with the aircraft.

 Completion Standard

  • Minimum participation: 90%
  • Minimum pass mark per examination: 75%
  • Examination
  • Closed book, multiple-choice examination
