Onam is a vibrant and significant festival celebrated in the state of  Kerala. It marks the harvest season and is a ten-day-long event filled with cultural richness, and traditional fervor creating a joyful and united atmosphere across the state. The houses are adorned with floral carpets and an extravagant feast called Onam Sadhya is prepared adding a grandeur to the festival.

On August 25, 2023, the HIET Aviation College celebrated the joyous festival of Onam. The campus came alive with vibrant colors as captivating floral designs, known as “Pookalam,” adorned the campus. The festivities commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, creating an auspicious atmosphere. Both students and faculty wore traditional attire, adding to the cultural fervor, and actively engaged in the celebration, making it a memorable event
